OUR MISSION
Here at SuperDog we are extremely passionate about training household companions to truly be man’s best friend. So many dogs are discarded in shelters for behavioral problems that simple training could have prevented or solved. With proper training, all dogs have the potential to be excellent companions. Obedience is the most important part of your dog’s life as it provides the owner with a way to communicate with their dog. Whether your pet is anxious, aggressive, hyper, or disobedient, Stephanie will help you reach the ideal dog/human relationship.
“Osiris and I have been training with Stephanie for 2 years, working mostly on competitive obedience with some traditional pet obedience training thrown in as needed. This morning, the training I have done with Stephanie saved my dog’s life. Osiris is a Sighthound, a purebred Pharaoh Hound. Bred to hunt rabbit on the island of Malta, Pharaoh Hounds have strong prey drive, love to run and are not known for their willingness to recall on command. Even with years of obedience training, it is difficult to overcome instinct and generations of selective breeding.
At 8:30am, my doorbell rang as I heard a neighbor outside pleading “Ooneen, please, hurry!” I ran to the door and opened it just in time to see Osiris running to the street barking at two leashed dogs. My heart stopped as my mind flashed each failed recall (prior to training with Stephanie) superimposed against Monday morning traffic. “This is it”, I thought. He was going ignore my recall, bolt and be under a car in less than a minute.
After I gave that recall command, the same command and tone of voice used and proofed over and over and over again in training, I saw my neighbor relax a little, my dog had turned away from the road and was heading toward the house. Suddenly, there he was safely in my foyer looking at me and wagging his tail.
As he lies on the couch having finished his breakfast, my hands still shake and my heart races as I write this. I meant to write a testimonial giving you accolades for working miracles with a non-traditional obedience breed, for having so much patience with an over-analytical, uncoordinated green handler. But instead, you gave me a far greater gift.
Thank you Stephanie.”
“I board my dog, Rex, with Stephanie and he loves it!!! When I get Rex’s “travel bag” out of the closet he knows he is going to Stephanie’s and he gets so very excited. Once we pull onto her road, Rex is absolutely wild with anticipation. When I leave, Rex does not even want to say goodbye, he’s too busy running around in the play yards and even though it pains me that my dog doesn’t want to say goodbye, I am overjoyed that he loves it there so much!”
“My dog, Flynn, went through the month long board and train program with Stephanie. Flynn is now a completely different dog!! In fact, people that saw Flynn after he went through the program asked if I had gotten a different dog. Flynn is now so polite and well-behaved in the house, plus he knows and more importantly responds to obedience commands like stay, come, and heel. I would definitely recommend the board and train program to anyone that wants a well-behaved, obedient dog.”
